According to the Pakistan Startup Ecosystem Report 2019, business start-up activity increased significantly between 2012 and 2019. The federal government played an important role in promoting entrepreneurship which is mainly centered around funding National Incubation Centers (NICs) across the country, which are established as part of public-private partnerships.
