The Government of Punjab has developed Startup Punjab, a platform to connect startups from Punjab with international investors, partners and talent to boost the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Pakistan. This platform aims to form a bridge between Pakistani startups and international stakeholders under the vision of “Invest in Punjab, Buy from Punjab and Work for Punjab”.
The Government of Punjab has identified and highlighted three verticals of “Resources, Capital and Market”.
A startup portal has been established where startups from Punjab can register and connect with:
- International investors and venture capital firms interested in investing in Pakistani startups
- International partners and organizations looking to tap into the local market
- Resources expressing their desire to work for Pakistani startups
The portal will be a gateway to information and collaboration and help in uplifting the existing and future entrepreneurs.
This initiative has been taken by the government to support active involvement of startups in order to create more opportunity and to showcase Pakistan in a positive light. Startup Punjab is all set to create a favorable environment for investors, local ecosystem, business operation, innovation and entrepreneurship alike.
